Privacy policy
Plain language, no burying the lede: we run phone lines, so we handle call recordings and contact details. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

Who we are
AI Agency Winnipeg ("we", "us") provides OnixDesk, an AI-powered phone reception service for local businesses, operated from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
When you call an OnixDesk line (including our demo number): the call is recorded and transcribed. We collect the phone number you call from, your voice, and whatever you choose to tell the assistant — typically a name, callback number, vehicle or property details, and the reason for your call.
When you use this website: if you submit the contact form, we collect the name, business name, phone and email you provide. We do not run third-party ad trackers.
Why we collect it
To do the job a receptionist does: book your appointment, take your message, and pass it to the business you called. For our own clients, call summaries and transcripts appear in their OnixDesk dashboard so they can follow up with you.
We also use anonymized, aggregated call statistics (answer times, call volumes) to improve the service.
What we never do
We do not sell personal information. We do not send marketing messages without consent required by CASL. We do not use your call content to advertise to you.
Who processes data on our behalf
Calls are carried and processed by our infrastructure providers — telephony (Twilio), voice AI (Retell AI, ElevenLabs, OpenAI) and our CRM. Each processes data only to deliver the service. Some processing happens on servers located in the United States; by using an OnixDesk line you consent to this cross-border processing as permitted under PIPEDA.
Retention
Call recordings and transcripts are kept for as long as the business you called needs them for follow-up and record-keeping, and are deleted on request. Website form submissions are kept while we correspond with you.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@aiagencywinnipeg.ca and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Material changes will be noted on this page.
